Today is World 🌊🌊🌊 Day!

Here’s why we’ve got to do everything in our power to protect marine life, coasts, and seas:

🌊 The ocean provides us with 50% of the oxygen we breathe.

🌊 The ocean is a major regulator of our climate and weather patterns.

🌊 The ocean absorbs millions of tons of carbon emissions from fossil fuels.

🌊 The ocean is home to some of Earth’s most amazing animals and unexpected organisms.

🌊 The ocean has a great abundance of life where we thought organisms should not live.

🌊 The pursuit of marine knowledge and exploration of the ocean has only just begun.

With work to be done on this World Oceans Day, we’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal. We ask for your help, chipping in $5 or more to help protect our ocean and discover and learn more about its wonderful inhabitants like the North Atlantic right whale.

Protecting the ocean is an immense challenge of daunting proportions, but together, we can prevail in restoring healthier oceans and saving a stunning diversity of life beneath the waves!

Steady on,

Rob

Save the Right Whales

The North Atlantic right whale is a critically endangered whale. In the 1970s, with the first whale watches, there were estimated to be 350 right whales, and the population was growing. Then, in 2017, right whales took a turn for the worse. By 2020, the population had fallen to 338 right whales, with only 50-70 breeding females. We must now do more to protect and restore right whales.
